eEdge Tip of the Day: Getting Your Listings Into eEdge

March 30, 2011 1 comment

The new eEdge system has delivered many incredible resources to Keller Williams agents, allowing them to manage leads, contacts, and transactions all from one coherent platform. Want to get the most out of this outstanding solution? Follow the tip below!

Today’s tip deals with an important facet of eEdge: getting your listings into the system. Although this can be accomplished by placing a phone call to Market Leader, the following steps will allow you to add your listings on your own.

  1. Log in to your MyKW account.
  2. Access your eEdge dashboard.
  3. Click on the “Admin” tab.
  4. Under “Website,” select “Profile Info.”
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the red “Edit” button.
  6. Under “Agent MLS ID,” select “Add Agent MLS ID.”
  7. In the “Agent MLS ID” field, you will need to enter your six digit KWLS ID code, which you can find by logging into the KW White Pages (From MyKW, Under “Quick Links,” click on “White Pages,” then search for your agent profile. Your KWLS ID will be listed next to “Associate ID” on your White Pages profile).
  8. Back on eEdge, enter the ID, and click “Save.” You’re done! You can now market your listings using the many wonderful tools eEdge has to offer.

Note: You can also enter an ID that will allow all of the listings from your market center to show; however, you must confirm with your broker before doing so. For further information, contact Market Leader.

Social Media Do’s and Don’ts From Family Reunion

February 22, 2011 Leave a comment

If you are not currently in Anaheim at Family Reunion, you are missing out on some of the hottest trends and gadgets in the real estate industry today. No worries - our blog is here to keep you abreast of all the latest developments!

A recent seminar held at the conference tackled the popular issue of social media and how to best utilize it as a marketing tool. Tech experts including Liz Landry, Sue Adler, and Jay Papasan weighed in on some of the things you should and should not be doing with your social media. A short list of these “do’s and don’ts” can be viewed below. For the full list, please click the “Full Article” link below.

Social Media Do’s

  • Be yourself - your professional self - people are watching. If you can’t be who you are, perhaps you should reconsider whether being on social media is right for you.
  • Follow good etiquette. Give more than you take.
  • Be Present and Be Authentic.

Social Media Don’ts

  • Be negative – Do YOU want to follow someone who is negative?
  • Blatantly/advertise on your profile. Your Facebook profile is not the place to post your listings.  Posting listings and asking for business is a sure way to get unfriended/unfollowed!
  • Be 100% about business.  Have fun with it.  People want to connect with YOU.

Keller Williams Signature Partners has a passion for technology that we believe will wonderfully suit your needs as a real estate agent on the cutting edge. Contact us today for more information.
