Maximizing Your Online Presence Through Social Media

As a tech-savvy real estate agent, you likely already have a social media presence, especially on Facebook. But did you know there is more you can do on Facebook than creating and managing your profile and fan pages?

Facebook advertising can extend your business reach and allow you to touch potential clients who may never see your profile or fan page. Although your ultimate goal as an agent is to negotiate a sale, the objective for your social media marketing is to create an enhanced awareness of your business for those who may be interested in the message you are providing.

To that end, here are a couple of tips for making the most out of your Facebook advertising.

1) Fine-tune your Facebook ads – Target your ads by classifications such as geography, age, gender, and etc. Experiment with different images for your ads depending on their purpose. For example, if you are seeking out first-time homebuyers, consider utilizing pictures of a young couple.

2) Create deeper engagement – Offer something for your potential clients, such as an eBook or seminar invitation, in addition to your sales pitch. You can then encourage respondents to provide feedback on your pages.

3) Analyze, then alter – Facebook provides a variety of tracking tools to help you analyze the effectiveness of an ad. Monitor items such as your click through rate, clicks by demographic, and clicks by age bucket.
