According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), bathroom remodels were one of the most common projects for homeowners in the first half of 2010.

The report notes that – in recent years – kitchen remodeling was more common.  Although remodeling projects across the board are down, low mortgage interest rates may lead to increased remodeling during the final months of 2010.
